Umm I apologize for making yet another journal so soon, but this is the third fucking time my One care picks this up, now I am able to completely get rid of this, thank god, but the question remains

What the fuck is this?

I'm really tired of this, of having these threats being aimed at my comp, if anyone knows my past relations of Trojans, you know I get fuckin paranoid if one of these keeps popping up evey now and then

And guess on what site I keep getting these little guys? Goddamn right, its from here, so first off, to all your assholes who've said in the past that DA can never hold a threat to your comp, are all fucking wrong, don't bother commenting here about how this shit is impossible, because it clearly fucking isn't, but what I wanna know is WHY?

I know DA has been degrading, gradually on a scale of management, and design these past few years, especially the incident of allowing Redirected Spyware and sometimes other random and miscellaneous virus threats based from the increased amount of ADs they allowed on nearly all pages, a few years ago, (and to this day is still a serious unresolved problem) but this just blows my mind

How in the hell am I picking up a trojan by viewing pics on DA? and its completely random too, like I said, this is the 3rd time, the first was a few weeks ago, just scrolling through my devwatch list, the second a few days later, at a random picture, and now jsut recently again, on my devwatch, this trojan pops up again, I'm tired of this shit, I only have 3 months left on my subscription, if things always getting worse here on DA by the fucking day after day basis, I can't imagen how its gonna be when the ADs are gonna be attacking me again

I don't want to reformat my computer anymore, I don't want to constantly store everything in a backup drive everytime I think its too late, and shit goes down, thanks to something I caught on DA

So again, you people who constantly told me in the past that its not DA's fault, Fuck you, you don't know whats going on, there are only 2 major websites I view on a daily basis, DA & Youtube, and Youtube is 100% guarenteed safe thanks to Google, DA not so much, so its natural that this place is to be blamed, as its the only other origin

Why can't something, or someone for that reason do anything right, or even helpful on this goddamned place for once?

Damn ads, why just hovering on them they instantly grow 3x times thus covering what you were trying to view. And that close button in the maximized ad is a lie, don't ever click it.

DA's is becoming a security risk in my PC as well...

If Pixiv was only user friendly & not just for the Japanese, I would migrate there.

Get yourself Ad Blocker Plus. It's free and it works in every browser, there's no reason not to have it.

I have it and it's perfect, it block all of those dumbass malware-infested ads on dA, so it's just like having a sub without a sub.

dA can go suck a fat one ;3

And this happened WITH a sub? That is bullshit! So not even the subs are safe? Wow DA really has degraded.

Change your hostfile.

I do that and it blocks the content, that ad block for firefox just removes the frames of the ads, so it looks like a premium account.

Get HostsXpert >> [link]

Then get a new Hostfile from here >> [link]

look for

To view the HOSTS file in plain text form. (596 kb) (opens in browser)
Note: The text version also makes a terrific searchable reference for determining possible unwanted connections
Download: hosts.zip [right-click - Select: Save Target As] [Updated July-15-2010]

Click the "host.zip"

Now run HostsXpert, on the left it has "Import Options" click that, then click "Replace Hostfile" then go select the "HOSTS" file from the "host.zip" it will pop up with a box stating do you want to replace hostfile, click ok, then your hostfile is replaced.

I'm not sure if you need to restart for the changes to take effect, best do that to be sure.

So what your computer basically does now is redirect known ads away from your PC, you basically wont get ads anymore on nearly all websites.

haxors in teh your pc NO MOER

It's to do with Jpeg and Gif file formats with embedded "IFrames" whatever they are, so it's because of picture files.

"In the wild, this trojan has been known to redirect users to Web sites containing malicious content.

"

Gee, that sure as hell sounds familar, oh wait, ADs on DA do that :hmm:

So maybe it's to do with the picture files they use within the ad, not the add itself??? Very strange.
