Trojan.Vundo ...Fucking Help me plz

Wed Jun 10, 2009, 8:46 PM
Okay first off the Reformat was cancled off, parents didn't wanna go through with it, even though I gave the all clear :hmm: this time around it was definetly a hack, thats what the Firewall kept saying, top of that I kept checking my Hrad drive's proporties seeing how crazy the numbers kept changing, so after I gave up they gave it a shot, and I dunno how, but without my knowledge my mother somehow semi-fixes it, next was to get a defence up and running again, so we got rid of the Norton Anti-Virus, and installed a Norton Internet Security, sorry Migit, its what we stick with :hmm: and I say semi becuase my computer just isn't the same, yes it managable to use like everyday I used to do, but its weak, like glitchy weak, everytime it turns off and on the icons flash away and reappear, and some programs don't or hardly ever respond at all and random times, but I dunno what else to do, so I'm rolling with it, at least until something else happens, God forbbid, but I'm getting so tired of it this shit, and not knowing whats gonna happen next always scares me into thinking I'm gonna lose everything as soon as I misclick something... and to add to this, does anybody know what and how to fully get rid of a Trojan.Vundo? No matter how many fucking times I've tried, this stupid thing won't go away, yes it tells me It detects it, it blocks it, it go rid of it, the next time I turn on my comp the whole thing starts all over again, WTF? Why can't I get rid of this thing completely!? Any help or tips would be nice if you have the infomation, I should of reformated, I gave the all clear, and they didn't want to :hmm: I have everything backed up, so why not? I don't understand

Now lets talk about DA, its your fucking advertisements that are screwing with my pages DA, I don't know if anyone gets this, but when I open up another tap, window, of just go to another page on DA, sometimes and random I am attack by something, and I hear audio, like if its a commercial or some shit, and the entire page freezes, going into numerous clicks, this use to be rare a few months back, but know its happening every fucking day, and it takes nearly 30 whole minuts to close a page when it freezes like that, and it only happens here on DA, so what the fuck!!? and when the page finally closes I try to come back in and to find out I'm logged out!? WTF again!? It logs me out? a fucking advertisment logs me out of DA? What in the name of all the firy cyberlistic hell is wrong with this place? and WHY ME?

GODDAMNIT I HAVE TO CUT THE JOURNAL OFF IN PARTS NOW BECAUSE THIS IS THE THIRD FUCKING TIME I TYPE THIS

Norton is shit. There's no other way to put it. Norton never stopped my computer from getting laggy, either.

I'd recommend trying a Kaspersky online scan. It's the strongest antivirus software in the industry, and you don't even have to install anything- just do a scan right off their website. [link]

Also, those ads you're getting aren't from DA. If you're getting involuntary sounds or windows popping up, that's the adware. Vundo does that. In that case, some anti-spyware software helps, too. I'd recommend Spybot Search and Destroy or Ad Aware. Both of these can catch Vundo/Virtumonde/whatever you want to call it, no problem.

Cid and Barret are the only 2 characters you could consider manly. Add up everybody else and you'd have roughly half of a man.

I would have to recomend avast, you download the free 30 day trial, than when that 30 days are up they give you a 1 year free subscription. Also When you first download it,what it does is that it will restart your computer after the downloading process, than it will scan your computer right in the middle of it restarting so it gets the virus that may have been hiding,it worked great for my laptop.
Also, judgeing by how your computer is behaving you might have some damage, after you get the virus out i recommend that you take it in to make sure no drivers were destroyed. If someone hacked in than you have to make sure that he didn't mess with your system and change the settings, that happened to my home computer.

First of all,you needed to reinstall the windows before installed Norton.
Have you buy this Norton?
After you installed Norton, did you scanned your system for viruses?
Last summer,even Mozilla didn't wanted to be opened...and I had only 2 troians and 1 spyware...

I had the same problem a couple months ago- wtf this stuff keeps coming out of nowhere. VundoFix should do it. I did it, but I still needed to reformat and completely wipe everything.

I suggest saving things to an external HD quickly before it fully takes over. I mean quickly. Then take the external and scan it for viruses on another computer. If it detects any, use the other computer's virus scanner.

I suggest Chrome. My Firefox was infected back in January, so I switched and it's been good to me. I thought I got rid of Vundo, but it came back so much harder in April and it killed everything- my computer would keep rebooting at startup. I hate to reformat too, but it's what did the job... I hope that helped. Sorry dude.

this doesn't seem like a virus anymore, this is malware... malware is nastier than a virus, most of time. and the problem with some malware is that it doesn't allow new versions or upgrades to take place with the anti virus.

and you're parents went from one shitty product to another.

The only options I see are what Brockiepoo15 said, taking it somewhere or reformating it. Reformating would be your best bet because then you know it's gone.
